Earth Light Tapestries series - this series is an exploration into texture and earth colors. Sand has frequently been added to the acrylic paints to add varied and significant texture of the painted surface. On many pieces this sandy , matte texture is contrasted with areas and lines with a high gloss surfaces. The color palette consists primarily of the "earth" colors (umbers, sienna and ochre) instead of the bold primary and secondary colors Randall often uses. All 24 pieces in this series are acrylic on 24 inch by 24 inch (61 x 61 cm) hardboard (Masonite) panels.
