Randall's favorite subjects for photography are nature and communities. He loves to discover and capture the patterns and textures in nature that go unnoticed by most people with their busy lives. Similarly for communities, the man-made elements of our society and culture - he enjoy capturing and documenting the little things, the everyday things that could go unnoticed  and ultimately be lost.

Randall's photographic style has been most influenced and inspired by the works of the early-20th century French photographic pioneer  Eugene Atget and the Canadian master of nature photography, Freeman Patterson.
